The Department of Health and Human Services is proposing regulation that would seriously undermine women's access to reproductive care in the US.  The regulations would provide greater ability for health care providers to withhold information and refuse to provide necessary services, such as birth control.  From the ACLU:

Bitch, Ph.D. says everything I was trying to say--"women abort pregnancies whether or not the Man "allows" them to, because women are in charge of pregnancies and we know if we can deal with another kid or not".  Go check it out.

 Jill's latest post makes me sick.  Literally physically ill.  And to think that there are people in my own country who would be over the moon if we made America more like Nicaragua!  All that comes of "pro-life" victories is death and violence.

Today is the 34th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.  It's also Blog for Choice day at Bush v. Choice.  I'm not signed up, as I don't want to attract a more political audience to my personal journal, but I wanted to honor it all the same.  The theme this year is, "Why are you pro-choice?"
